It’s holiday time again and the new year is right around the corner. How did that happen??
As I do each year around this time, I want to bring you up to date on our progress here at ROOST Real Estate Co.
A Year to Remember
Our Realtors, staff, and clients made 2018 a year to remember. We hit all of our internal financial goals and our market share remains strong. Our average agent income continues to grow well above the local and industry averages.
Our New Agent Service Center in Springfield
We moved into our new Agent Service Center in Springfield, Ohio in March of this year. We had the opportunity to purchase an office in a great location and build it out exactly the way we wanted to. If you have not had the chance, we would love for you to stop by and say ‘Hi’ at 1636 North Yellow Springs Street – right across from Snowhill Elementary School.
Big Moves in Columbus
Our expansion into Columbus, Ohio took a giant leap forward in October with the addition of Helen Nilsson and her property management team. Helen has been working in the Columbus market for over 30 years and has extensive sales and property management experience. We are in the process of converting her office at 500 E. Starr Ave. to a new ROOST Real Estate Co. Agent Service Center.
Property Management Continues to Surprise Me
With the addition of Helen Nilsson and her Columbus business, we are now managing just under 1200 units. Roughly 750 of these are in the Springfield and Urbana areas, 150 in the Dayton area, 250 in Columbus, and another 20 in Melbourne, Florida. Property management is a big sales driver for us because our clients continue to add to their portfolios knowing they can count on us to take care of their new purchases. I look forward to expanding this service in every market we serve in 2019.
Introducing our New Website
Another milestone in 2018 was the launch of the new www.ROOSTRealEstateCo.com. This is one of the finest marketing and education platforms in the industry and is the foundation for all of our future marketing initiatives. Each agent has their own landing page linked directly to their Facebook business page. There are several calls to action with multiple ways for clients and customers to connect directly with their agent of choice. In addition, we are sharing our franchise offering, The ROOST Profitability Partnership™, with the world for the first time on the site. Check it out and let me know what you think.
Our Why ROOST? Recruiting Presentation
I have been experimenting this year with a live presentation called Why ROOST? designed to explain to both new and experienced agents and brokers why they should consider joining ROOST Real Estate Co. We need an engaging way to explain what ROOST Real Estate Co. and The ROOST Good Life for Realtors Promise™ is all about. We are working on a live webinar version for 2019.
